VENUE OVERVIEW: Located on the ground floor of a 6 story hotel in the heart of the Union Square neighborhood of San Francisco, Bartlett Hall functions as a brewery, bar, restaurant and “urban meeting space” with a capacity of up to 225 guests. The venue’s high ceilings and hardwood interior give it a historic saloon look, but patrons can still watch the game on the big screen, 150″ to be exact, or listen to live bands over craft beers and cocktails.
THEIR NEEDS: Because their brewpub was livelier than the average restaurant, the owners wanted a higher-quality audio visual system but could not have it disturb the hotel guests above. They wanted to be able to control the AV system – including source routing flexibility to the 8 TVs and projector for sporting events – from the convenience of a single iPad.
WHAT WE DID: When CAVS designed and provided all audio, video, surveillance, automation, and data/telecom infrastructure for Bartlett Hall, the systems were customized beyond the client’s initial expectations. Dense and directional speaker coverage creates a warm environment and keeps the audio within the space. To attract passers-by, outdoor speakers were installed to be audible from the sidewalk. For aesthetics, all TVs were recessed into the walls and bar, and the projection screen was rigged to raise and reveal a look into the brewery from the dining room.
Actions like routing any 1 of 10 video sources to a display or any 1 of 12 audio sources to an audio zone, adjusting lighting levels, or monitoring surveillance cameras are as easy as a few touches on their iPad. For even more flexibility, CAVS provided multiple AV input jacks allowing for DJ and band performances as well as video presentations. Not only is the AV system easy to use, it’s easy on the eyes and sounds great too!
CAVS provided surveillance for the restaurant and brewery as well as each floor of the hotel allowing owners a look at the vast property from one screen on their laptop or mobile device.
