VENUE OVERVIEW: Intense, careful thought went into designing Sabrosa, a Marina district Mexican restaurant and cocktail bar. The venue’s look is meant to be as vibrant and engaging as the food and drink.
THEIR NEEDS: With an aesthetic so important to the dining experience, the AV system needed to be as unobtrusive as possible. The task at hand called for a full coverage sound system – both indoors and out – and projection capability, all of which needed to be easy to operate.
WHAT WE DID: CAVS worked closely with Sabrosa’s designer to conceal the AV system as much as possible. Recessed ceiling speakers, flush mounted TVs, and a hidden projection screen that can be lowered-at-will were all part of the execution. Completing sound coverage, CAVS set up outdoor speakers to keep patio diners entertained and lure passer-by’s to come in. The entire AV installation including surveillance, automation and data/telecom infrastructure is easily managed by a centrally located in-wall controller. Any of Sabrosa’s staff can easily operate the high-end, low-profile system.
