VENUE OVERVIEW: Located in downtown San Jose, SP2 is a massive venue comprised of over 8,500 square feet of indoor dining and outdoor patio space, and is able to host over 500 guests. SP2 focuses on hosting product launches, cocktail receptions, corporate events, keynotes, and even weddings.
THEIR NEEDS: Not only does SP2 host multiple types of events, they wanted the flexibility to host up to three events of various types simultaneously. SP2 needed a highly customized and versatile AV system.
WHAT WE DID: To address SP2’s challenges, CAVS installed a state-of-the-art audio visual system with a single, portable control surface which allows staff to walk through each area of the venue and control it independently, or treat the entire restaurant as a whole. The automation system is intuitive and gives each event’s guests the ability to tailor their experience. CAVS provided multiple AV connection points for the various venue configurations including inputs for DJs, bands, laptops and iPods. The large outdoor patio is blanketed with audio from 12 weatherized loudspeakers and boasts 2 – 50″ weatherized televisions. Video indoors is available from 3 – 60″ screens integrated into the main bar shelving as well as a 120″ projection screen in the rear room. Multiple surveillance cameras located both inside and outside the venue monitor the activity of guests and staff alike.
With the right AV system in place, SP2 is one of the most successful venue’s of it’s kind in downtown San Jose.
